An enterprise or other employer can
train its current or new employees in cooperation with the employment and
economic development administration.
The training arranged is based on
joint planning, purchasing and financing by the employer and the employment and
economic development administration. Employers play a key role in selecting the
students.
Joint purchase training is a
family of three service products targeted at meeting different needs, but
complementing each other:
- RecruitmentTraining – if no
skilled employees are available to meet the employer’s needs, and no
experts newly qualified through other types of training are in prospect.
- PreciseTraining – basic or
further vocational training tailored to meet the needs of the enterprise
and staff. Also suitable for implementation during
periods of fixed-term lay-off.
- ChangeTraining – the
employer can help employees, dismissed due to financial or
production-related reasons, to find a new profession or job, or support
employees laid off until
further notice.
Participants receive either
pay for the training period, or, on certain preconditions, training allowance
and maintenance support for labour force training.
The employment and economic
development administration can participate in financing joint purchase
training, if this will help secure availability of workforce, promote the
employer’s operating conditions, and contribute towards prolonging working
lives, maintaining jobs and preventing unemployment.
