Employment Bulletin, November 2011

According to the Employment Service Statistics of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy, at the
end of November 2011 the number of unemployed jobseekers registered at Employment and Economic
Development Offices totalled 230,000, down 13,000 on the previous year. 
The number of new vacancies reported to Employment and Economic Development Offices during
November totalled 36,600, or 3,200 more than November in the previous year. In all, the number of
unfilled vacancies at Employment and Economic Development Offices amounted to 60,300 in November,
which is 7,200 more than a year ago. 
At the end of November, unemployed jobseekers under 25 years of age numbered 26,700, representing a
decrease by 1,400 from November a year ago and a decrease by 200 from October. 
At the end of November, the number of long-term unemployed amounted to 56,200, down 300 on the previous year.
The number of foreign citizens among unemployed jobseekers totalled 17,500, up 500 from November a
year ago. Of these foreign unemployed jobseekers, EU/EEA citizens accounted for 4,200 at the end of
November, up 200 from the year before.
