If you are an
EU/EEA citizen you have the possibility to study in Finland under the same
conditions as Finnish citizens. There are various ways of studying in Finland:
you can apply independently or through a programme. You can study an entire or
a partial degree or a post-graduate degree.
In Finland the
Centre for International Mobility (CIMO) coordinates different scholarship and
exchange programmes and is responsible for implementing nearly all EU
education, training, culture and youth programmes at national level. CIMO
organises also international trainee exchanges and advances teaching of Finnish language and culture in universities
abroad, as well as arranges summer courses in Finnish language and culture for
international students.

In Finland the decisions of professional recognition are made at the
National Board of Education at the unit in which the Finnish ENIC/NARIC

In certain
professions a right to practice is required. The right to practice a profession in Finland is required from
health-care professionals, veterinary surgeons, chartered public finance
auditors, chartered accountants, advocates and seafarers. The right to practice
a profession with a foreign qualification in the health-care sector is granted
by the National Authority of Medicolegal Affairs.
